Key Responsibilities
Debt Structuring & Negotiation
- Lead the front-end negotiation of loan terms, credit facilities, and refinancing with banks and financial institutions.
- Structure and secure financing for acquisitions, capital expenditures, and working capital needs of portfolio companies.
- Maintain strong lender relationships to ensure access to favorable financing options and credit facilities.
- Support capital allocation decisions by determining optimal equity vs. debt financing structures for transactions.
- Partner with investment teams to align financing strategies with broader private equity and family office objectives.
- Oversee the debt portfolio, ensuring compliance with loan covenants, timely servicing of debt, and effective risk management.
- Track credit facilities, asset-backed loans, and other financing arrangements, ensuring proper reconciliation with lenders.
- Monitor lines of credit, floor plans, and manufacturer financing programs, ensuring accurate tracking of asset purchases, disposals, and paydowns.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to interest rate fluctuations, covenant breaches, and liquidity constraints.
- Ensure compliance with lender agreements, debt covenants, and internal financial policies.
- Stay informed on financial regulations, market trends, and economic conditions affecting lending and debt management.
- Prepare and present debt financing packages to lenders, ensuring clear communication of financial metrics and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams on financial modeling and scenario analysis to optimize leverage and return profiles.
- 3 years of experience in commercial lending, underwriting, debt financing, or credit analysis.
- Proven ability to negotiate loan terms, manage lender relationships, and structure financing deals.
- Strong knowledge of debt instruments, financial markets, loan covenants, and capital structuring.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact with lenders, investment partners, and senior leadership.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple financing transactions simultaneously.
- Proficiency in excel
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
