Key Responsibilities:
- Debt Management:
- Monitor and manage debt obligations for all portfolio companies and assets.
- Ensure timely servicing of loans, compliance with covenants, and adherence to lender agreements.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and lenders to secure favorable terms for refinancing or additional credit lines.
- Capital Structuring:
- Support acquisitions by structuring financing: determining the equity contribution from the family office and negotiating the bank financing.
- Perform financial modeling to ensure the proposed capital structure optimizes returns while mitigating risks.
- Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track performance metrics (e.g., DSCR, leverage ratios) and provide regular reports on the financial health of portfolio companies.
- Identify risks related to leverage and propose adjustments to maintain financial stability.
- Cash Flow Analysis:
- Analyze and forecast cash flows for debt servicing and equity distributions.
- Coordinate with portfolio companies to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and debt obligations.
- Risk Management:
- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with interest rate fluctuations, loan covenant breaches, and refinancing timelines.
- Develop strategies to maintain flexibility in debt structures, including hedging when appropriate.
- Deal Support:
- Assist in due diligence and financial analysis for new acquisitions.
- Prepare detailed debt financing packages to present to banks and other lenders.
- Education: Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- CFA or similar credentials preferred but not required
- Experience: 3-5 years in banking, alternative asset management, debt capital markets, credit analysis, or a related field.
- Experience with leveraged financing or private equity is a strong plus.
