Position Details:
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM
- Additional Prep Time: Built into the workday for curriculum planning and classroom organization.
- A background in early childhood education and a passion for working with children aged 3 to 5 years.
- Experience or interest in incorporating art, music, movement, and STEM into classroom activities.
- A commitment to supporting social-emotional development and preparing children for the next stages of their educational journey.
- The ability to design and implement creative, hands-on lessons that support children?s developmental milestones.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with parents in a positive, informative, and collaborative manner.
- A collaborative and positive approach to working with colleagues, students, and families.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate various teaching philosophies.
- Integrates art, music/movement, yoga, and STEM related activities into the daily curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Observe and assess children?s development and provide feedback to parents.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and dynamic learning environment.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and caregivers.
Requirements
- Head Teaching Certification in early childhood education.
- Minimum of 1 year of head teaching experience with children ages 3 to 5.
- Knowledge of various teaching philosophies
- Experience in integrating art. music, movement, yoga, and STEM activities into the curriculum.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A nurturing and patient attitude towards young children.
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education best practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check and fingerprinted required
