Home Health Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, particularly seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, emotional support, and practical assistance to enhance the quality of life for our clients.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating their participation in community activities and social interactions.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
• Help clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior care, home health, or working in a group home setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medication administration practices is essential.
• Familiarity with social work principles is a plus, particularly when working with individuals with disabilities.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or must be obtained within the first month of employment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed while ensuring client safety at all times.
• A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care tailored to individual needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
