Summary:

Under the supervision of the CEO, the Development Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining The Price Center’s individual giving program. They will perform a variety of complex, responsible, and confidential duties requiring a thorough knowledge of fund development and organizational procedures and precedents. The person in this role is resourceful, a creative thinker, has a collaborative spirit and a genuine gift when it comes to connecting with donors, program participants and their families, as well as staff. The ideal candidate must also be able to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Foster quality relationships with donors, as well as program participants and their families

·         Manage individual giving at all levels, including the Leadership Giving Council, Major Gifts, Annual & Special Appeals, Fundraising Events and support our work with Foundations.

·         Develop and implement donor, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to meet the annual fundraising goal and foster sustained philanthropic support from new prospects and longstanding donors

·         Analyze and use data to develop targeted outreach and messaging campaigns and track fundraising progress, donor trends, and campaign effectiveness

·         Supports development committee(s)

·         Event Coordination

·         Oversee monthly stewardship newsletter

·         Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends for events and donor visits

·         Support program participants’ right to express their religious affiliations and cultural traditions through preferred and relevant activities.  Support diversity of individuals served through respect of religious preferences and/or cultural backgrounds.

 

Skills/Experience:

·         3 to 5 years of successful non-profit experience in a fund development role (Annual/Major Gifts, planned gift solicitation and portfolio management)

·         Must fully embrace the mission of The Price Center

·         Ideal candidate is innovative, a self-starter and goal driven with strong relationship building skills

·         Experience with prospect research, donor outreach and events management

·         Experience in the planning and successful implementation and achieving positive results of a multi-faceted fund development program with working knowledge of annual and online giving, major donor giving, event management, foundation, and corporate giving

·         Demonstrated ability to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, foundations, and particularly major donors, with exceptional relationship building skills

·         Outstanding interpersonal, communication and storytelling skills, written and oral

·         Highly organized with strong adherence to deadlines

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Familiarity with Blackbaud Fundraising Platform, a plus

·         Familiarity with P2P fundraising
