We are an organization that assists adults between 18-65 years of age with a mental health diagnosis. As an activity coordinator you will be part of our team and be responsible for organizing and facilitating activities for our residents in a long term setting. Some duties may include:
· Schedule activities on a monthly calendar basis for individuals and groups and ensure activities are completed.
· Attend meetings and complete quarterly progress notes to include activity participation goals, preferred activities, and completed activities in prior 3 months.
· Assisting residents with budgets (i.e. cigarettes, shopping, monthly bills etc.)
· Plan and conduct a cooking classes
· Plan and obtain supplies for activities
· Assisting residents with personal needs and hobbies (ie: computer skills, photo albums, etc.)
Job requirements:
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Clean driving record is necessary.
· High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
· Detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
· Able to plan and carryout projects independently and in a timely manner.
· Desire to work with persons with disabilities
· Quality and safety-conscious.
· A valid Chauffeurs license
Pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
