What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Coordinator position at The Pride Group?

- Schedule activities on a monthly calendar and ensure activities are completed.
- Attend meetings and complete quarterly progress notes
- Assisting members with budgets (i.e. cigarettes, shopping, monthly bills etc.)
- Plan and supervise cooking classes
- Plan and obtain supplies for activities
- Supervise volunteers that assist with the activities
- Effectively work with all levels of employees, our members, the public and Pride Group management.
- Assisting members with hobbies
- Assist with organization of donations
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Must have Activity Coordinator’s Certificate or complete Activity Coordinator’s Course within 6 months of employment
- Maintain 10 hours a year of continuing education
- Detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Able to plan and carryout projects independently and in a timely manner.
- Desire to work with persons with disabilities
- Quality and safety-conscious.
- A valid Chauffeurs license
