Under the supervision of a Team Leader, the Resident Assistant assists residents with mental illness and need 24- hour supervision. The Resident Assistants role is to assist/prompt residents to complete tasks such as activities of daily living and independence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Pass medications correctly
2. Assist the residents in doing their laundry
3. Assist the residents with cooking ensuring the residents safety first and teaching them the skills needed to complete the task.
4. Assist the residents to complete their cleaning tasks
5. Engage the residents in activities
6. Ensure safety to all residents
7. Assist residents in getting to appointments

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position functions under the direct supervision of the Team Leader .
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Must have a desire to work with persons with disabilities

Pay: $12.50 - $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 45 per week
