A civil engineering firm is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Designer to work on municipal stormwater projects. The role involves planning, design, and preparation of construction documents, with a mix of remote and in-office work near Uptown Charlotte.
Responsibilities:
- Develop construction cost estimates, traffic control plans, and erosion control plans.
- Coordinate with utility representatives, surveyors, engineers, and property owners.
- Attend site meetings to provide project updates and address conflicts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
- 2 years of design experience, preferably in stormwater projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic/hydrologic principles.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and driving record review.
Preferred:
- EI or EIT certification.
- Experience with GIS.
