Title : Computer Science Faculty (open rank position)
Department / Location : Computer Science, Elsah IL
Organizational Relationship : Reports to Department Chair, Division Head, Dean of Academics
Summary : Teaches 18-21 semester hours per academic year, typically this is 6-7 three-semester hour courses, including both general education courses and computer science courses. Additional duties include advising students, on-going professional development, serving on campus-wide committees, contributing in scholarly ways, assessment of academic programs, supporting Principia activities, and promoting Christian Science-based character education in accord with Principia's mission as outlined in Education at The Principia. Computer Science : The Computer Science department will be part of the newly formed Center for Innovation and Technology, which also includes Business Administration and Mathematics. You will be a primary contributor to delivering on Principia's academic vision :

Work Performed - Essential Duties
- Teaches 18-21 semester hours per academic year in computer science
- Is an active character educator in accordance with Principia's mission
- Supports metaphysically the mission and goals of the institution and its operations
- Maintains office hours
- Meets with students for academic advising, conferences, and academic support
- Works actively with others in performing the general business and decision making of the department and academic division
- Assists in departmental work, including assessment, program review, and development of curriculum
- Teaches courses within the context of Principia's philosophy of liberal arts education
- Future willingness to serve as department chair

We offer a competitive salary range for this position : $58,951 - $109,661 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Initial offers for salary are based on ranges based on specific discipline and rank.
