THE SOON-TO-OPEN PRINTING HOUSE HOTEL IN BUSY DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE IS SEEKING AN ENERGETIC, SEASONED AND DEDICATED MARKETING MANAGER TO JOIN ITS SALES AND MARKETING TEAM!

BASIC PURPOSE : The Marketing Manager will be part of the property Sales team and will play a critical role in the development and implementation of processes and programs that will drive awareness of the property and its outlets.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES :

This position will lead marketing efforts in the achievement of operational, financial, and strategic goals while focusing on the implementation of a comprehensive marketing strategy. With the support of the Corporate leadership team, General Manager, Regional VP of Sales and the Director of Sales, the Marketing Manager will manage all hotel guest rooms and Food & Beverage marketing campaigns, initiatives and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within the budget that the role will help create.

The Marketing Manager will be part of a team that builds progressive and relevant content, marketing campaigns and promotions, as well as a social footprint, which will increase leads and drive interest in the property. This may include managing social networks / review sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Yelp, etc.), as well as oversee engagement-driving content including email marketing campaigns, social media, events, reputation management and community outreach.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Establish hotel marketing plans and actions in support of the hotel’s overall brand marketing strategies.
  • Manage a rolling 120 Day Marketing Calendar in support of the annual hotel marketing strategy.
  • Create marketing content, in collaboration with internal and external resources, including but not limited to video, blogs, social media posts, emails, website and multi-media content.
  • Ensure that content on all digital assets is up to date. Work with the GM and the DOS to also ensure that content on third party digital sites that feature the hotel, and the F&B outlets are up to date and consistent with owned digital assets.
  • Day-to-day management of content strategies including planning and management of blog content calendars, social media content calendars and email marketing calendars.
  • Supervise and execute marketing activities, promotions, activations and pop-up partnerships.
  • Ensure consistent message, tone, voice and proper grammar and spelling across all content and communication created.
  • Communicate all promotions in a timely and professional manner by establishing daily / weekly communications and meetings as needed and be responsible for their recording and distribution. At minimum there will be a monthly marketing meeting with all the department heads to ensure clear and complete understanding of current promotions, programs and efforts.
  • Come up with regular proposals to adjust the overall property marketing strategy month by month.
  • Monitor social media sites and coordinate responses with internal resources. Bring to Management’s attention customer issues and complaints across all social and digital channels.
  • Understand our brand, products and customers to ensure content meets the marketing strategy and reflects the brand.
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure that the property and the F&B outlets stay competitive in the local market.
  • Maintain, update and grow various guest databases and build weekly and monthly email marketing campaigns and newsletters targeting these audiences.
  • Maintain accurate and current tracking systems. Analyze, report, and develop recommendations for optimizing strategies.

  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong sense of initiative, innovation, analysis, urgency.
  • EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS :

  • Experience in hospitality sales / marketing leadership required.
  • Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing & communications or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of hotel and / or Food & Beverage marketing experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working with social media / digital marketing.

    Physical Job Requirements :

    Lifting / Pushing / Pulling / Carrying : Position does not require a great deal of lifting / pushing / pulling or carrying, aside from the normal functions required in an office setting.

    Bending / Kneeling : Functions of this job include a normal amount of bending, stooping and kneeling during the course of a shift.

    Mobility : Total mobility is required, with outside sales visits, property tours and competitive set driving occurring at the direction of the GM.

    Standing / Walking : Position may include a normal amount of standing and frequent walking during the course of a shift.

    Climbing Stairs : May require climbing of moderate number of stairs.

    Hearing / Vision / Speech :

  • One-on-one communication with guests, supervisors, and coworkers is critical.
  • Must be able to receive, understand and give directions within the Sales Department.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate property, company and contract information to clients.
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal skills, as well as ability to compose professional and articulate emails and written communication.
  • Must be able to understand, compile and submit reports in an efficient manner.
  • Protective Clothing : No protective clothing typically needed in the performance of tasks required of this position.

    No. of employees supervised : 1 , depending on size of property.

    Travel required : Some local travel may be required as directed by the GM / DOS.

    Hours Required :

  • Scheduled days and times may vary based on need and / or the direction of the GM / DOS.
  • A sufficient number of hours in order to complete tasks will be required, often in excess of a standard 40-hour work week.
  • Must adhere to the time and attendance policies set forth by the company.
