Description
The Design Coordinator/AutoCAD Drafter is a member of the Design Team dedicated to creating technical drawings and designs for wastewater structures and systems, specializing in the industrial food and beverage wastewater sector. The Design Coordinator/AutoCAD Drafter provides support to the Design Team via coordination of task deadlines in our project management software as well as hands-on drafting support using AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or other software programs. The position will be split between the two responsibilities, prioritizing the most critical need at any given time.

Design Coordinator

Expectations
Design Coordinator
- Ability to manage Autodesk Plant 3D (P3D) Smart Blocks & Piping Specs for multiple projects with varying deliverable priorities and deadlines, with support
- Ability to use P3D, data management integration (smart P&IDs/EQ smart blocks/EQ List)
- Ability to learn P3D Spec Editor and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Expected to support the Team and external integration partners in the development of an equipment database and its connection to other internal tools
- Expected to oversee the management and archiving of design documentation, ensuring location accuracy and accessibility for future reference
- Create engineering layout drawings and sections/details
- Create project process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)
- Review equipment cutsheets and submittals
- Create construction revisions and as-built drawings
- Collaborate closely with outside manufacturers and vendors to develop a complete drawing package for the construction of wastewater facilities
- Partner with external and internal stakeholders to design wastewater facilities that meet project requirements
- Develop and maintain P3D standard symbol and block integration using Spec Editor
- Work closely with the engineering team to serve a wide variety of customers in the industrial wastewater sector
- Manage multiple projects with varying deliverable priorities and deadlines
- Support the training and development of other Probst employees
- Participate in and support the improvement of current drafting processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work in a state-of-the-art, open-concept, collaborative environment located in Hartland, WI
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 years of recent experience using AutoCAD
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Adapts easily to changing work priorities and manages competing demands
- Ability to quickly learn to draft new prints and workflows
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous recent experience using AutoDesk Plant 3D
- Previous experience designing or working in wastewater facilities
- Previous background in handling administrative duties with BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud
