Job Summary:
The Produce Spot is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and customer-oriented Deli Team Member to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a deli environment, including expertise in slicing meats and cheeses using a slicer. A strong focus on organization and providing exceptional customer service is essential. This position requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs when necessary and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient work area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Slice and prepare meats, cheeses, and other deli products to customer specifications using a deli slicer.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering customer questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized deli counter and workspace, ensuring all products are displayed properly and replenished when needed.
• Operate deli equipment safely and efficiently, following all health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure the freshness and quality of all products served, handling and storing them according to food safety regulations.
• Assist customers with special orders and custom requests, ensuring accuracy and satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory levels and communicate any product shortages or issues to management.
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs as needed, and assist with stocking and organizing products in the deli area.
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of the deli section.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a deli or food service environment, including slicing meats and cheeses.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers and meet their needs.
• Ability to operate deli slicers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Has SERVSAFE Certificate.
