Position OverviewWe are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children/adults and may lead group sessions within school settings. This position is vital in helping consumers build coping skills, enhance emotional regulation, and achieve academic and social success. Travel is required, with services provided in Brown or Sheboygan County, depending on your preference and proximity.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized support to children/adults, addressing their unique behavioral health needs.
- Facilitate small group sessions on topics such as social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to teach and implement psychosocial rehabilitation skills.
- Monitor and document consumers' progress, adjusting interventions to meet their evolving needs.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment where consumers feel comfortable expressing themselves.
- Customize interventions to align with the specific needs of each consumer.
- Stay informed on best practices in behavioral health by attending meetings and training sessions provided to you by The Production Farm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children and/or adults in a behavioral health setting.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as common behavioral health challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the mental health of individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or licensure in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for children and adults.
