Position Title: Behavioral Health Support Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work 1:1 with children and facilitate group sessions within school settings. This role is crucial in helping students develop coping skills, improve their emotional regulation, and succeed academically and socially. Travel is a requirement in this position, and services in either Brown or Sheboygan will be required based on candidate preference and proximity to the location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to children, addressing their specific behavioral health needs.
- Facilitate small group sessions focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and other relevant topics.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in order to teach and implement psychosocial rehabilitation skills
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for students to express their thoughts and feelings.
- Tailor interventions accordingly.
- Participate in meetings and training to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as common behavioral health challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's mental health.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in a relevant field
- Experience working in school settings.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for children and adolescents.
