We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Crew member to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This position involves working collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all grounds maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of gardens, trees, and shrubs.
- Supervise and lead small teams during specific projects or daily tasks.
- Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Conduct tree care activities such as pruning and removal when necessary.
- Maintain equipment used for groundskeeping, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to build new landscape features as needed.
- Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, reporting any issues to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques, including fertilization and pest control.
- Familiarity with tree care practices and landscape design principles is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with the team.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
