Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time, year-round position with an hourly rate of between $25.00 and $30.00, depending on your relevant work experience, fit for the role, and fit to our company culture. Working from our headquarters in West Berkeley and reporting to our S.A. (Strategic Assistant to the CEO), you’ll model a highly personalized, attentive approach to client services, going above and beyond to meet individual needs and create a premium experience for our customers. About the Right Fit Candidate The right person for this role is someone who already considers themselves a Sales or Client Relations professional. She / He / They will familiar enough with CRMs to learn ours (ArborGold), work with our software firm to make updates, and then handily teach others to use it. The single most important characteristic we are seeking in our first-ever CRS is a strong work ethic. This encompasses reliability, dedication, being highly responsible, and consistently delivering high quality work even when not directed or supervised. The winning candidate for this position will be someone who is self-motivated, extroverted, and affable; someone who is highly organized and great at details. About the company Since 1980, The Professional Tree Care Company has been trusted for tree services throughout Northern California. Based in West Berkeley, we service commercial, residential, and public works projects from Mendocino to Monterey, and from San Francisco to Sacramento. We are known for excellent customer service, and the ability to remove enormous trees using large cranes and heavy equipment. What makes us unique? We recycle material removed from job sites at our own Green Waste Recycle Yard (see GreenWasteRecycleYard dot com), mill logs into dimensional lumber, and create organic mulch from the wood chips. We also have the staff, equipment, resources, and experience to perform tree services at any scale. Your Responsibilities Include : Serve as first line of contact for a wide variety of tree care customers Schedule site visits for our team of Certified Arborists / Estimators Lead the expansion and adoption of our CRM, ArborGold, by serving as the point-person for all things related to this software Create reports using ArborGold that track incoming client / outgoing calls, project close rates, project costs, sales projections, and other reports you have found helpful in your career as a sales or customer / client support role Support our Certified Arborists / Estimators by training them to use ArborGold, then f ollowing up with customers who have received estimates from us; emailing and calling to learn when we’ll be moving forward with project(s) or, if not, learning why not and providing that feedback to the team Circle back with clients at the end of every project to obtain testimonials, online reviews, and feedback using SurveyMonkey or another software Work alongside our Marketing Intern to increase client awareness about seasonal products and tree care suggestions Other sales related projects as your schedule allows Requirements, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Friendly, optimistic, and someone who takes delight in making new connections At least 3 years of recent experience in sales, customer service, client services, or a role that requires sustained contact with new people on a daily basis The ability to set up and then train a CRM such as Zoho, Salesforce, or Hubspot. Our CRM is ArborGold Great communication skills; you’re eloquent and able to write well, hence the cover letter requirement Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred though we are open to hearing from folks with an AA degree who also have fantastic written communication skills You work at a fairly fast pace, have high attention to detail, can manage a wide variety of tasks efficiently, and have used software such as Trello, Monday, Todoist or something similar to prioritize and track your work.
