- Are you willing to work at heights of 60-feet and more if you're invited to apprentice as a professional tree climber?

Professional Tree Care is hiring Grounds-people who will become our next professional tree Climbers. Anyone hired must meet these minimum requirements :
1) Speaks / read / writes in English well but is willing and able to learn TCS (Tree Care Spanish) if you don't already speak Spanish.
2) Physically fit : able to lift 40 pounds and hoist him / herself up a tree using ropes and pulleys.
3) Able to work extremely hard for up to 8 hours per day Able to work outdoors in inclement weather year-round, meaning hot in summer and cold in winter.
4) NOT afraid of heights. Yes, there will be a test.
5) Seeking a career, not a job. To become a good climber quickly, one must study on their own time. You'll need to learn specific knots (Blake's hitch, bowline, figure eight, alpine butterfly, cow hitch, etc.) If you have free time in the morning or evenings, this might be a great career for you. 6) You must have reliable transportation to the job site, which cannot be reached by public transportation, Uber, or bike. Each worker is responsible for driving themself to the job site. This first job is is San Francisco but we work from Napa to Monterey and Sacramento to the Bay.
7) A current and “clean” CA Driver's license is required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Medical, dental, and optical insurance at a 50% contribution rate.
