Resort Room Manager
Summary:
This position is located on Madeline Island, Town of La Pointe, Wisconsin. The responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the front desk, the rental property business including the housekeeping department. The position has significant liaison responsibilities with owners, guests, and the local community and beyond.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Provides leadership to front desk staff while delegating administrative duties.
- Tracks ongoing tasks and issues across housekeeping and front desk departments.
- Maintains the office flow of paperwork and organization.
- Staff management in front desk, housekeeping departments.
- Staff scheduling for front desk and housekeeping.
- Works alongside with the housekeeping supervisor(s) to attain knowledge of all rental units and the laundry facility.
- Oversees purchases needed for the office, housekeeping departments.
- Update and complete spring and fall to-do checklists.
- Update and refresh Guestbooks for next season.
- Inspections, cleaning and touch up of rental rooms as needed to support Housekeeping.
- Receive guest evaluations, organize information, and report findings to upper management.
- Manage, inventory, and re-stock the retail shop.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the implementation of standard business practices including bookkeeping, procurement, and records management.
- Knowledge and demonstrated computer literacy in the use of standard software programs.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in human resource management including the ability to supervise, develop job descriptions, coordinate performance standards and reviews, develop work schedules, and evaluate and counsel employees.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Experience: 5 years of Customer Service and 2 years of Management. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
