Description
Frontier Group seeks a policy analyst to join our team delivering timely research and analysis that is accessible to the public on environmental and consumer problems and solutions. We are looking for a talented writer who is also willing to work with complex data, and who is able to derive insights from diverse fields of knowledge to arrive at new ideas for solving pressing problems.
Key Responsibilities
Frontier Group policy analysts distill complex data into clear, powerful conclusions that are easy to communicate to decision-makers and the public. This position requires exercising discretion and independent judgment in making decisions in matters of significance. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
- Review and draw conclusions from recent research in environmental science, public health, economics, and other fields.
- Do quantitative analysis of existing data sets and sometimes collect original data through interviews, surveys and collaboration with academic researchers.
- Write clear, concise, message-driven reports.
- Produce op-eds, social media, fact sheets and other communications to disseminate the results of our research.
- Evaluate policy alternatives and work with advocates on the ground to develop policy principles and proposals.
- Take part in organization-building activities including recruitment, fundraising and staff training.

Compensation and Benefits
The starting annual compensation range for someone with 2-5 years of relevant experience is $38,000-42,000. Candidates on the lower end of directly relevant experience should expect to be on the lower end of this range; candidates on the higher end of relevant experience are likely to be on the higher end of this range.
