Job Overview
We are a startup Post Mail store/pack and ship that focuses on delivering exceptional customer service. We plan to redefine the post office experience and offer convenience as a one stop shop for businesses, individuals, students. Alongside pack and ship, we also provide mailbox services (Both real street address and digital mailbox) fingerprinting, printing, deliveries, business services and solutions.

Duties

• Working with cash registers and processing payments.
• Giving customers advice about sales and promotions
• Using upselling techniques to increase store sales by recommending the best products to customers.
• Cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day before opening and after closing.
• Assist customer to determine the best way to ship their packages and assist customers with all other services.
• Pack merchandise for shipment and process the shipment.
• Other skills required are strong organization skills with effective verbal and written communication skills, some accounting knowledge, good computer skills and knowledge of internet applications.
• Operates all equipment, software and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others.
• Perform end of day duties, reconciliation of cash, checks, money orders, credit card, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy and procedure.
• Process and Document damaged shipments late and lost packages claims.
• Receive and process packages for shipping, including lifting and weighing packages, accessing shipment manifesting software, and generating labels.
• Retrieving packages from customers’ vehicles when requested.
• Record all sales transactions and returns completely and accurately in point-of-sale system.
• Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes accurately.
• Receive and prepare documents for printing or make copies.
• Taking ownership to learn all products and services offering alternative solutions and industry trends.
• Outstanding phone skills.
• Must be proficient in operating copier, fax machines, binding equipment, printing machines and all other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner.
• Help and assist customers operate office machines located in the retail area.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Must be able to keep sensitive business information and customer information confidential at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Experience in cash handling and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as this will enhance communication with a diverse customer base.
• Knowledge of pack and ship/mailing service store operations is a plus but not mandatory.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role.
• High School Diploma/ associate degree required. We will train the best candidates with no experience.
• Background Check with finger printing, drug screening.

Pay: $14.01 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
