JOB SUMMARY

This position contributes to the restaurant's success by upholding our standards of genuine hospitality. The Host is expected to be an expert in all areas of their position and to ensure the host stand runs smoothly and efficiently.

Hosts are responsible for setting the standard in providing an outstanding and truly remarkable first and last impression for our restaurant. This includes holding the door for our guests, greeting them with a warm, welcoming smile, and engaging in genuine conversation as you guide them to their table. The host oversees the movements of the front door, orchestrates seatings for reservations and walk-in guests, and communicates any pertinent details to the service and management team.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality, warmth and professionalism.
• Move with purpose and a sense of urgency.
• Bring a personable and presentable appearance and demeanor to our front door. Demonstrate professional and polite communication.
• Have a thorough knowledge of the reservations and aim to create a steady flow of covers. Accommodate and anticipate the guests needs by having the ability to make adjustments to seatings throughout the shift.
• Possess a strong understanding of the operations of the restaurant, as well as our food and beverage offerings to better assist and serve our guests.
• Orchestrate the movement of the door to make every guest's experience enjoyable. Communicate the flow of the door with management and support staff through headsets.
• Have strong organizational and communication skills. Have the ability to interact with guests and individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Assist in all areas of the restaurant as needed and help create a teamwork oriented work environment. Be willing and ready to jump in and help wherever needed including clearing and resetting tables.
• Help ensure guest satisfaction, build relationships, and develop increased engagement. Be a representative of The Pulpo Group and create a positive impression of our businesses.
• Be the expert in guest satisfaction by providing concierge services including; cab service, hotel accommodations, recommending activities to do in the area, parking details, and invitations to our other businesses.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and ambiance of the restaurant including organizing the host stand, and maintaining the foyer and restrooms.
