Servers at Aventura are dedicated members of the Service Team who deliver on excellent service and hospitality with intention and integrity. Servers oversee every aspect of the guest experience by demonstrating our values and following the Steps of Service, knowing their every action contributes to our productive and uplifting culture that Aventura is known for.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets guests timely and with genuine hospitality.
- Anticipates guests needs and handles every aspect of the guest experience from menu overview to clearing the table.
- Expert on the food and beverage menus. Able to guide our guests based on the experience they are seeking, and able to direct preferences and dietary needs tableside.
- Impart information about our dishes and beverages and respond to questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens / dietary restrictions to keep guests safely accommodated.
- Expert on the Steps of Service and executes these consistently.
- Drive sales for the restaurant and guest check average by guiding guests towards the full experience.
- Maintain opening, running, and closing side work throughout the shift contributing to the efficiency and overall flow of the restaurant.
- Continuously learning about food, beverage, suppliers, etc. Engaged in pre-shift and other educational opportunities.
- Contributes to teamwork by holding self and teammates accountable to the standards of excellence.
- Demonstrate positive, productive, and encouraging work ethic daily.
- Assist with answering phones, seating guests, dish help, and other needs of the restaurant.
