Overview:
The Pump House, a busy ice cream shop in downtown Grand Haven, is searching for a General Manager to lead our team in a fun, creative and positive environment. We are looking for a hardworking, upbeat person who possesses excellent leadership skills and an in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of a restaurant.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee: Pastry Chef, Shift Leaders and Team Members
- Interview, hire and train new employees
- Coach and mentor employees as needed
- Ensure Customer Experience is the #1 driving factor
- Write schedules and place food and supply orders
- Prioritize staff to keep the dining room clean and sanitary
- Foster a climate of fun and pumpiness throughout the shop
- Inspect all equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
- Maintain a cleaning and maintenance schedule
- Meet or exceed all health code and safety standards
- Identify ways to maintain and reduce costs
- Perform employee reviews
Applicant Qualifications:
- One or more years of retail or restaurant general manager experience
- Willingness to be a “hands on” manager
- Positive attitude
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a young team effectively

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
