Summary :
We're excited to partner with a reputable construction company in search of an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team! This position will be responsible for processing payroll for a large, unionized workforce while ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and labor laws. This is a full-time, onsite role in the greater Madison, WI area, offering competitive pay based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities :
- Process weekly payroll for salaried, hourly, and union employees.
- Interpret and apply CBAs to ensure accurate wage calculations, benefits, overtime, and deductions.
- Manage payroll-related benefits, garnishments, and deductions in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, including tax filings, certified payroll, and union reports.
- Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to maintain accurate employee records.
- Assist with audits and financial reporting related to payroll.
- Stay current on labor laws, tax regulations, and CBA terms.
- Support payroll system updates and troubleshoot issues.
