Quarto Publishing is seeking a Software Development Manager/Data Architect who is passionate and has a proven track record in IT data architecture and management. You will manage a small team and support an Enterprise data warehouse and ERP system, encompassing US and UK business units and third-party distribution warehouses. You will support internally developed systems, liaise with offshore developers, and manage third-party software providers. Your duties include following best database design and development practices, as well as staying up to date with all relevant data security procedures. Good communication and collaboration skills are required.
Key Results Areas
- Maintain an enterprise data warehouse following the Kimball dimensional model integrating multiple data sources
- Maintain and support Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP environment with multiple companies and currencies, importing data from multiple third-party fulfillment warehouses using eConnect, SQL stored procedures and Integration Manager
- Manage support for internal systems encompassing Title and Contract Management systems
- Develop and maintain MS SQL Server Analysis Services solutions
- Develop and maintain a suite of MS SQL Server Reporting Services reports
- Develop and maintain data import and export processes using MS SQL Server Integration Services
- Manage a Business Analyst and SQL Developer as part of the Software Development Team
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving SQL code
- Troubleshoot issues to provide recommendations/solutions.
- Develop and support reports using SQL Server Reporting Services
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Required
- MS SQL Server database (3 years)
- MS SQL Server Analysis Services (2 years)
- MS SQL Server Integration Services (2 years)
- MS SQL Server Reporting Services (2 years)
- MS Dynamics GP (2 years) including eConnect and Integration Manager
- Working knowledge of EDI
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Accountable for work quality and decision-making
- Desire to solve problems using root cause analysis

- TrueCommerce EDI platform
- PHP scripting
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data management, business intelligence or other related fields
- 3-5 years with Enterprise Data Warehouse development using Dimensional Data Modeling
- 2-3 years in ERP systems and support
