This position is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef with overseeing the day to day operations of the restaurant. Additionally, as part of the culinary team, you will be responsible for the following :
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account.
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
- Execute production under the direction of the Executive Chef.
- Serve as the department head in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Assist in menu development, inventory, ordering / purchasing, food cost controls, training, sanitation, and personnel management to include hiring, firing, counseling, coaching and developing.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including : sanitation, production, managing team members
Qualified candidates will possess at least 2 years of culinary experience with expert knowledge of food specifications including but not limited to preparation, presentation and cooking methods. In addition, the successful candidate must be professional, innovative, and possess well-rounded culinary skills with creativity and passion for culinary arts.
