Events Houseperson performs event set-up and tear down, assembly of items, housekeeping and maintenance tasks as assigned, ensuring the event spaces are clean, functional, and ready for use. The role may also be guest-facing and at times requires assistance in event execution.

- Sets up tables, chairs, banquet staging, and other equipment according to the room diagrams and event resumes.
- Tears down equipment and supplies after events are over and put them in appropriate storage facilities or other locations.
- Maintains cleanliness in the event spaces, including hallways and other common areas.
- Keeps service corridors and storage areas clean, organized, and unobstructed.
- Maintaining an inventory of event supplies, such as chairs, tables, umbrellas, and informing management when items break or need to be replaced.
- Operates and maintains various types of equipment and tools, including driving a truck with a trailer.
- Reads and understands room diagrams and event resumes in order to set event spaces accordingly.
- Interacts with other staff and event planners and responds quickly to needs and requests.
- Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure and hazard-free environment for event attendees and staff.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Must be able to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be available to work flexible hours and days including early morning, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Attention to detail to ensure a clean and organized environment.
- The ability to manage time effectively, to meet deadlines and ensure tasks are completed on time.
- The ability to work in a team environment with event staff and other departments or independently with minimal supervision based on event and property needs.
- This role requires physical exertion, including lifting, moving, and carrying heavy objects. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift objects up to 75 pounds.
