Essential Duties and Responsibilities –
1. Facility Inspections & Maintenance
- Conducts daily walk-throughs of the Lodge and other key areas to inspect boiler operations, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Identifies and reports any maintenance or safety concerns, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Performs routine checks and preventive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Removes trash from Lodge and other common areas daily to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Stocks firewood for designated areas and ensures proper storage for accessibility.
- Monitors and maintains walkways, patios, and exterior lighting for safety and functionality.
- Performs repairs and general upkeep on all ranch buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical work, under the supervision of the Director of Engineering.
- Assists in moving furniture, setting up event spaces, and preparing venues for special functions.
- Conducts regular inspections of boilers, furnaces, and water heaters across all ranch buildings, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Monitors and maintains proper chemical balance in all pools, hot tubs, and water features, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of pool equipment, pumps, and filters.
- Troubleshoots and addresses any malfunctions in water circulation and heating systems.
- Promptly responds to maintenance requests from staff and guests to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Answers radio and phone communications to address urgent maintenance concerns in a timely manner.
- Assists other departments as needed, ensuring smooth ranch operations and an exceptional guest experience.
- Conducts regular maintenance and inspections on ranch vehicles, golf carts, snowmobiles, and other equipment.
- Ensures that all equipment is stored properly and safely maintained for operational use.
- Removes snow and ice from walkways, driveways, and tent roofs to ensure guest and staff safety.
- Prepares facilities for seasonal transitions, including HVAC adjustments, irrigation system maintenance, and storm preparedness.
- Regularly inspects and replaces light bulbs and fixtures across all ranch buildings and pathways.
- Assists in troubleshooting minor electrical issues, coordinating with licensed professionals for complex repairs.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing OSHA and company safety policies.
- Ensures proper handling and storage of chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Complies with legal and environmental regulations, including fire safety and emergency response procedures.
- Supports various ranch operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Assists with emergency maintenance situations, responding to urgent issues promptly.
- Participates in ongoing training and skill development to stay current with industry best practices.
