Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to support our fly ash operations by safely and efficiently handling materials for processing, storage, and transportation. This role involves operating heavy equipment, such as front-end loaders, to load fly ash into trucks, maintain stockpiles, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment and working in dynamic construction environments.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Operate heavy equipment to load, transport, and manage fly ash materials along with other materials like aggregate, dirt, sand, gravel, or other construction materials.
- Ensure proper loading of trucks and containers to meet weight and distribution requirements.
- Work closely with multiple construction teams to coordinate loading operations and ensure timely material delivery.
- Maintain fly ash stockpiles, ensuring even distribution and preventing material loss or contamination.
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily, performing routine maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Monitor environment conditions to prevent dust emissions and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with drivers and plant personnel to streamline loading operations and meet production goals.
- Follow strict safety protocols to prevent hazards associated with fly ash handling, including PPE usage and equipment best practices.
- Assist with cleanup and housekeeping of the work area to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain grounds and landscaping by performing lawn mowing, brush cutting, and general yard work.
- Conduct general maintenance tasks such as facility cleaning, painting, and minor upkeep of buildings and equipment.
- Other duties assigned per Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education/Experience
- Familiarity with heavy equipment, construction or front and end loader experience preferable.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or demonstrable equivalent.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, multi-company environments with shifting priorities.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
- Ability to work outdoors in variety of conditions
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Work Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years in age or older.
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
- Must pass post-offer employment drug testing, medical exams, background check, and physical agilities testing.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and/or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
