As SQL Developer with the software engineering team, you will design, develop, test, and implement programs to extract, transform and load health insurance data. This data will be mined to produce potential overpayment investigations or utilized to perform complex business analysis.
What You’ll Do
- Understands requirements for complex data and business systems.
- Develops technical specifications based upon functional specifications.
- Ensures that solutions are built to meet defined expectations and quality standards.
- Develops a detailed understanding of medical and pharmacy claims data elements, focusing on the relationships of distinct datasets to one another.
- Creates and executes complex SQL queries to analyze and run against very large transactional databases.
- Utilizes MS-SQL, Visual Studio, and TFS extensively, following Agile development processes.
- Performs analysis and provide technical assistance for problem resolution.
- Degree in Computer Science, or closely related field, or significant equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience as a SQL Developer in a complex environment.
- Proficiency and expertise with MS SQL Server including queries, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Expertise with MS Visual Studio and Excel.
- Knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies, utilizing a SCRUM framework.
- Experience with SSIS, XML and Team Foundation Server is preferred.
- Strong focus on quality demonstrated through attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with medical and/or pharmaceutical claims data is strongly preferred.
