About the team:
We are The Raymond Corporation's Corporate Leasing Aftermarket Division located in East Syracuse, New York. We refurbish and remarket used forklifts to ship worldwide.
About the position:
We are looking for a Leasing Supervisor to lead our Raymond Leasing Aftermarket mechanics in East Syracuse, New York. The Leasing Supervisor supervises, coordinates, provides leadership to, and reviews the work accomplished by assigned staff in area of refurbishing used forklifts. This position is in a TPS culture and support of these principles is required. This position requires the ability to lead an 8-hour shift, which begins work at 6:00 a.m. You will:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Leasing Mechanics.
- Manage Forklift and parts inventory.
- Provide data and analysis concerning departmental and individual performance.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes in methods or procedures in the assigned area of responsibility.
- Estimate needs and assign work to meet completion dates in accordance with schedules fixed by the business plan, and/or management.
- Manage incoming and outgoing freight.
- Conduct performance appraisals, make hiring decisions, and take disciplinary action including termination.
- Foster a safe work environment.
- Encourage associate submittal of Kaizen and ensure implementation.
- Support the organization's TPS culture.
- Perform other projects as assigned.
About the work environment:
Works in a factory/warehouse setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. May be required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be elevated in the summer and cool in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
About you:
- 2 years of manufacturing experience
It would be great if you had:
- An Associate Degree in Business.
- 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Experience creating a positive work environment.
- Forklift repair and inhouse shop experience.
- Experience with MS Office 365.
- CDL B Certification.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - $62,000 - $77,500 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidates skill, education and experience.
