What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Associate position at THE RC SHOP AT DRDANS?
We are looking for a Retail Sales Representative to provide excellent customer service to our customers. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
- Ensure racks are fully stocked
- Manage returns of merchandise
- Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
- Run cash register to check customers and ensure they found everything they need
- Check in new inventory when it arrives
- Some lite cleaning duties throughout the store
- Answering phones and taking messages and answering questions over the phone
- Checking in items for repair and keeping detailed notes of the progress
- Offer light technical assistance/troubleshooting and customer education on use/care of RC vehicles and equipment.
- Process POS transactions and handle closing of cash drawer.
- Restock and display merchandise in an appealing and organized way, ensuring products are placed and labeled correctly.
- Assist with inventory management, updating website, packaging, shipping and maintaining cleanliness/organization of the store as well as other tasks given by supervisors.
- Knowledge in use and repair of RC Cars, Trucks, & Boats (Planes & Drones a plus).
- Prior sales and/or merchandising experience. · Strong customer service and communication skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Enthusiasm for the RC hobby and a passion for helping customers achieve their hobby goals a must
- Physical Requirements: · Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for performing intricate repairs and adjustments on RC vehicles and components.
