Project Manager (Commerical Furniture Industry)
Summary:
RCF Group’s Project Managers are often the face of our organization, collaborating directly with clients to manage projects of all sizes, striving to exceed customer expectations with every project. The PM also works with our internal team and vendors to manage the project during all phases from inception to completion; ensuring all steps and procedures are followed and that all work is completed as planned, budgeted, and scheduled.
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, organization, time management, and open communication throughout an assigned project with the client or within a team-based office environment. This is a fast-paced, fun environment that requires candidates to be self-motivated.
Scope/Responsibilities:
- Facilitation of the client proposal process including budgeting, pricing, presentation, proposal writing and negotiations.
- Provide timely response to customer’s requests for products, services and/or information.
- Is responsible for client relations and on-going relationships with client personnel, and client third parties (contractors, A&D firms, etc.)
- Interfacing with clients to develop and maintain a positive working relationship.
- Manage client expectation with regards to scope, budget and schedule to ensure the client understands the services provided and the timeline associated with the project.
- Keep client apprised of project progress on a regular basis. Initiate and maintain contact with key project individuals for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues.
- Adherence to RCF Group process and procedures.
- Explore and identify new opportunities to add or enhance professional services with existing clients.
- Attends client planning meetings; analyzes client needs and workplace/product requirements to create design solutions.
- Provide frequent and regular status reports to customer regarding project status.
- Develop plans and product specifications either on own or through work with design team.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of customer’s needs, corporate goals, business practices and satisfaction/performance criteria.
- Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities to continue to learn and grow.
- Other functions as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years project management and/or design experience required
- Prior experience in the office furniture industry, a plus
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to calculate figures, square footage, proportions, percentages, area and discounts
- Ability to read specifications and drawings/blueprints
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven organizational, planning and prioritization skills; able to handle multiple responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite of products
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Flexibility/willingness to travel
