What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service / Warehouse Associate position at The Recreational Group LLC?
Job Summary: The Customer Service/Warehouse Associate is critical to ensure we deliver exceptional customer service. They will stage, load, and unload finished products and raw materials and stock and maintain warehouse inventory. They will answer customer questions, process orders, and work collaboratively with all Purchase Green employees to successfully meet customer needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Packaging finished products for shipping by shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
2. Staging and loading finished products onto truck.
3. Unloading raw materials from truck.
4. Operating forklift, carpet cutting machine, and/or truck.
5. Generate Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documents.
6. Provide estimates, process invoices and accept payment from customers and contractors.
7. Entering customer leads into lead management tool.
8. Performing preventive maintenance on forklift, carpet cutting machine, and/or truck.
9. Calculate amounts such as square footage, linear footage, area, circumference, volume, percentages, discounts and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
10. Maintain knowledge of products and warehouse organization.
11. Effective oral and written communication with customers, employees, and vendors.
12. Strong customer service skills with positive, friendly and upbeat attitude.
13. Regular on-site attendance during business hours according to the work schedule.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. One year warehouse experience or comparable work experience
2. Forklift experience preferred or a willingness to learn and become certified.
3. Valid Driver's License with good driving record.
Physical Demands:
1. Ability to lift, pull or push 50 pounds alone
2. Ability to lift, pull or push 100 pounds with assistance
3. Ability to crouch, bend, climb stairs/ladders and lift frequently for extended periods
4. Ability to stand, sit, or walk for up to eight hours per day
