Job Overview
The Recruiting Squad is currently seeking an experienced Senior Concrete Project Director to lead our commercial projects team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed project information to all appropriate parties, while managing the administration components for an entire project.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain and communicate all project information (received/submitted from/to the customer, requested/received from vendors/subcontractors, etc.) thoroughly, correctly, and timely.
- Review subcontract documents to verify scope, terms, and conditions, providing input for company protection.
- Verify adherence to all subcontract requirements, communicating these to field operations and other internal/external parties.
- Develop project cost budgets from preconstruction documentation.
- Procure subcontractors, vendors, suppliers for the project based on scope, pricing, quality, reputation, and other factors.
- Collaborate with Field Operations Personnel to develop an accurate project plan.
- Serve as focal point for communications with the customer, relaying information appropriately to Field Personnel or Office Personnel.
- Secure submittal requirements, assemble them for transmission, submission, follow-up, and complete the process as needed.
- Prepare RFI (Request For Information) as needed, with follow-through for field execution.
- Organize plans/specifications files and make appropriate changes, communicating to the team when revised drawings are received to ensure use of current editions.
- Implement and monitor Safety and Hazard Communication Programs.
- Monitor Quality Control, working in tandem with Field Operations Personnel.
- Review and comment on field-generated Daily Reports.
- Review invoicing for approval, tracking, and cost evaluation to compare with the budget.
- Track accounts receivable information for intermediate progress payments.
- Maintain logs for submittals, RFI, field equipment, concrete orders, and other essential project data.
- Prepare Invoicing/Pay Applications for the project with the necessary documentation.
- Maintain the schedule for the project, as directed by the customer or for internal planning purposes.
- Communicate information, solutions, and opportunities to the team when necessary.
- Create change orders after understanding customer expectations.
- Execute a detailed closeout for the project.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
