Our client is seeking a dynamic and versatile Head of Compliance and HR to join a fast-growing financial services company. This role is ideal for a highly adaptable professional with extensive experience across compliance, legal, and human resources functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, managing HR processes, and overseeing legal documentation. A strong interest in crypto and fintech is a plus!

This role is perfect for someone who :

  • Has a strong background in financial services, fintech, banking, or crypto.
  • Can seamlessly switch between legal, compliance, HR, and operational responsibilities.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently.
  • Enjoys collaborating with C-suite executives to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee all HR processes, including onboarding, employee relations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Collaborate with external compliance advisors and ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct due diligence on service providers and manage risk assessments.
  • Draft, review, and manage legal agreements and internal policies.
  • Ensure compliance with FSCA, SARB, FIC, and banking regulations.
  • Support the CEO and CFO with compliance and HR-related strategy and decision-making.
  • Qualifications :

  • Degree or Diploma in Law or Finance.
  • Experience :

  • 5 years in financial services, banking, fintech, or crypto.
  • Strong background in compliance, HR, and legal operations.
  • Skills & Attributes :

  • Legal expertise to handle in-house legal matters.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge (FSCA, FIC, SARB, Banking).
  • HR and operational management experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Mandatory).
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
  • Passion for cryptocurrency and financial innovation.
