Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to specific conditions and goals.
- Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions to promote recovery and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy plans, exercises, and strategies to optimize recovery.
- Document patient progress accurately in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in physical therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of injury prevention and wellness programs.
- Performs physical therapy examinations according to professional standards and departmental policy.
- Demonstrates knowledge of intervention options and executes a program of skilled physical therapy intervention.
- Actively participates in professional growth of self and others.
- Actively participates in quality improvement and program development.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT,) MPT or BS PT degree from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Experience: Experience in orthopedic or sports physical therapy is preferred but not required.

- Ability to motivate and inspire patients throughout the recovery process.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing treatment plans.

American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
