What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at The Reeds at Shelter Haven?
The Dishwasher/Steward performs manual work in maintaining a clean and orderly food service operation. They receive, store, and distribute supplies for the dining area such as plates, silverware, glassware, sugar caddies, candles, candle holders, cleaning supplies, etc. They clean, wash, and polish dining equipment. They perform all tasks necessary in the front and back of the house.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and pleasant atmosphere in the kitchen and back of house areas at all times.
- Operate dish washing machine set-up, load, run and remove clean dishes once process is complete.
- Maintain dish washing machine cleanliness ensure filters are frequently cleared.
- Place clean dishes on correct shelves.
- Manually hand wash and scrub pots to ensure they are thoroughly cleaned.
- Keep all kitchen floors swept and mopped at all times.
- Empty all trash cans and keep trash dumpster areas clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
