What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Inspector position at The Reeds at Shelter Haven?
The Housekeeping Inspector at the Reeds at Shelter Haven assists with the daily cleaning of all guest rooms and public areas of the property when necessary. They may help the Housekeepers with cleaning assignments to ensure that all rooms are cleaned by check-in. The Housekeeping Inspector inspects the guest rooms and public areas ensure it adheres to the company’s standards and reports any additional attention needed to the assigned Housekeeper. The Housekeeping Inspector is directly responsible for keeping all housekeeping storage areas clean, tidy, and organized. This is a full time-year-round position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas and quality checks to drive cleanliness, productivity, efficiency, exceptional service and guest satisfaction at all points of contact. After inspecting the guest room, alert the front desk that the room is ready for guests.
· Assist the Housekeeping Manager with ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company’s safety and security programs.
· Assist the Housekeepers when they fall behind on their assignments to ensure that the guest experience is not negatively impacted.
· Assist the Housekeeping Manager with driving effective communication across the housekeeping department to ensure consistency, cohesiveness and clear understanding of objectives and priorities.
· Assist the Housekeeping staff with their cleaning assignments as needed.
· Alert the Housekeeping Manager with identifying projects related to floor care, deep cleaning, and routine maintenance of public spaces, guest rooms, back of house areas, and grounds.
· Maintain on-going communication with hotel department heads regarding the specific and overall condition of rooms and public spaces.
· Anticipate and follow through on guests’ service needs.
· Serve as problem solver in instances of guest dissatisfaction; Resolve complaints, concerns or issues in a timely and helpful manner.
· Other duties as assigned.
