Housed under the newly developed University Consortium of Schools (previously PreK-12), the UCLA Lab School is an innovative school for children ages 4-12 and a laboratory for teachers and researchers in the School of Education & Information Studies (SE&IS) at UCLA. The Business Office manages and supports an annual budget of $11 million and manages over 100 academic and careers employees, 30 student workers, independent contractors, and volunteers.
Salary & Compensation: *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. - Previous experience in library/media services (Required)
- Previous experience working with children & adolescents (Required)
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and diverse community (Required)
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities (Required)
- Bilingual Bilingual fluency in Spanish & English (Preferred)
- 1.Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to learn and function within office procedures and practices. (Required)
- 2.Knowledge of Children’s and young adult literature. (Required)
- 3.Familiarity with curriculum subject areas and state standards for each grade level in K-12 education. (Required)
- 4.Thorough knowledge of library systems and databases and library data transformation techniques and software tools. Recommends new technology as needed. (Required)
- 5.Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies. (Required)
- 6.Ability to manage an automated library circulation system. (Required)
- 7.Demonstrated competence with technology including word processing, database management, and spreadsheets. (Required)
- 8.Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision (Required)
- 9.Demonstrated ability to navigate the internet for on-line resources for teachers and students. (Required)
- 10.Ability to work cooperatively with students, parents, school staff and the general public (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (Preferred)
