Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Possesses a high school or equivalent diploma
A valid New York State driver's license

Position Summary: Assists Volunteer Engagement Specialist with warehouse duties. Works with and supports individual and group volunteers.
Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical warehouse setting and will be exposed to extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions. There will be extended periods of standing, bending, lifting, balancing, and handling materials. This position would normally have routine opportunities for the employee to be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus. This position will require the safe use of power equipment. Employee should have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervises and works with volunteers to sort and re-pack food and non-food products in the warehouse.
2. Processes finished pallets, records them on receiving sheets, and puts them in the appropriate racks.
3. Assists the Volunteer Coordinators with warehouse duties, as needed.
4. Processes incoming pallets of donations. Separates bulk items from salvage and submits appropriate receiving sheets to the Warehouse Operations Coordinator.
5. Assists with daily pest mitigation efforts.
6. Works with volunteers and staff in other areas of the operation as needed.
7. Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
8. Inspects power equipment prior to use.
9. Follows all safety standards and procedures.
10. Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
11. Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
