What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aid / Cook position at The Rehab Center at Bristol?
We are currently seeking caring and dynamic staff who are looking for an opportunity to have a direct and positive impact on the lives of our residents. This position requires the ability to deal professionally with residents, families, visitors and staff. Lift up to 50 lbs, be able to stand on feet for up to 3 hours. Have experience working in a long term healthcare facility atmosphere.
- Prepares, cooks and serves quality food for residents following all therapeutic diets and standardized recipes, in a fast-pace environment.
- Cleans food service work areas as assigned and maintains neat work area.
- Operates all kitchen equipment and properly cleans/sanitizes it.
- Prepares, washes, sanitizes and properly handles pots, pans, and cooking utensils according to procedures in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Performs quality improvement activities including, but not limited to, maintaining temperature logs food and refrigeration, following HACCP rules, and adhering to Department of Public Health regulations.
- Assigns and supervises dietary aides according to schedules.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Food Service Director.
- 2 years food service experience. Knowledge of specialized diets required.
- Able to become Serve Safe certified within 2 months of hire date. Able to work in a fast pace environment Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
- Proof of COVID Vaccination is required to be eligible for this position.
