The Reinforced Earth Company is recognized as the inventor and market leader of the MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall industry. The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support.
The Project Administrator reports to the Division Manager or Operations Manager and is responsible for assisting with Project Management (PM) administrative processes and the tasks that are associated with that function.
Responsibilities include:
- Updating project budgets as needed.
- Monitor job cost reports regularly and adjust budgets as necessary with PM input.
- Assist PMs as requested to order materials, check inventory, follow up on issues
- Maintain Licensees budgets
- Coordinating directly with precasters, including releasing walls to the precaster to be manufactured, as well as releasing materials to the contractors as requested by the PMs.
- Track design submittals and approvals.
- Ensure takeoffs are entered upon original and revision submittals
- Update PCFs for takeoff revisions.
- Coordinate activities between Project Manager and Job Cost Administrator to ensure that invoicing to the contractor is correct and current.
- Other duties as assigned by Project Manager or Division Manager.
Education/Skill/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of administrative experience
- Basic understanding of contracts and contract language, job cost budgeting, material ordering is required.
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Powerpoint, Act, Microsoft Projects and Oracle a plus
- Basic math skills are required
- Experience in the precast or construction industry a plus
- Detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work in a fast paced environment, with the ability to multi task, prioritize and meet deadlines
