The position requires that the candidate work in a variety of capacities due to the entrepreneurial and opportunistic nature of the firm. The primary role will be focused on providing analytical, quantitative and operational support for the Affordable Housing Division.
Essential functions:
- Perform financial modeling for the purposes of analyzing acquisition, development and capital transactions.
- Work directly with lenders, equity investors and municipal partners
- Actively participate in Financial Closings
- Conduct market research, site assessments and other due diligence related to site acquisition and development feasibility including analysis of comparable properties and zoning code analysis
- Assist with the preparation of detailed funding applications and development proposals in response to public solicitations
- Conduct deal-specific due diligence.
- Collect and analyze market/economic data.
- Prepare budgets and track project performance.
Education and Experience Requirement(s):
- 2-3 years of Real Estate Finance experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
Knowledge/Skills Requirement(s):
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Team player that works well in groups
- Organized and focused
