The Event Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Remington Room, an event facility. This role will oversee all aspects of running the business, including event planning, marketing, sales, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management and a proven track record of success in delivering exceptional events.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Remington Room, including event planning, marketing, sales, and customer service.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Remington Room, including goals for revenue, growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Business Development - drive business through local neighborhood groups, chambers, event shows, etc. and be an ambassador of the brand.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Remington Room, including scheduling, technology, staffing, and maintenance.
- Plan, organize and execute a variety of events including parties, corporate gatherings, weddings and social functions while innovating for new event ideas
- Create and Implement the Marketing Plan for the Remington Room to attract potential clients and grow the business.
- Delight all of our clients by helping them plan and execute their events and ensuring their needs are met.
- Negotiate contracts and coordinate vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain and care for the space, including keeping it secure and organized.
- Build relationships with potential caterers and vendors to create a group of preferred vendors that know the space well.
- Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue setup, catering, audiovisual equipment, decorations, and staffing, to ensure smooth execution and adherence to timelines.
- Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, invoicing, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Supervise and secure event staff, including event coordinators, servers, and setup crews, providing clear direction, training, and support to maintain high service standards.
- Manage Partner Team Events to take them to the next level (these would include events inside and outside of the Remington Room).
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Past experience in hospitality, event management, or a related field.3 years of experience in event management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Technology and computer skills, background in Monday.com or Honeybook is not required, but appreciated.
- Proven track record of success in planning and executing exceptional events.
- Strong marketing and sales skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
