What are the responsibilities and job description for the Independent Living Dining Server position at The Renaissance Retirement Campus?
Overview:
Join the Renaissance Retirement Community Independent Living Dining Team! The Renaissance is located in Olmsted Township, just minutes from Great Northern Mall. The IL Dining position is great for High School students: flexible scheduling, paid time off, opportunities for Community Service hours, and fantastic intergenerational experiences. Please note: this is a year round position, not seasonal.
CURRENTLY HIRING FOR: 2 or 3 shifts per week 3:45-7:15 p.m.
Duties:
- Present dinner menus and submit drink and food orders.
- Serve courses and/or assist residents at service bars.
- Bus and reset tables.
- Brew coffee, ladle soup, toss salads, portion desserts.
- Serve as Dining Room hostess, as required.
- Clean and store equipment after dining room service.
- Take Bistro orders, assure tickets are complete and signed by resident at conclusion of meal.
- Clean and vacuum dining room and service area.
- Complete any “side work” as assigned by Dining Room Manager or designee.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control practices.
Experience:
- Customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- In-depth interpersonal skills: demonstrated trust, integrity, compassion and ability to effectively deal with all types of people.
- Oral communication skills.
- Passion for hospitality and providing an outstanding dining experience
