Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Stocker to join our team at The Renaissance Retirement Campus. This role is essential in maintaining our facility's operational efficiency by ensuring that products are organized and readily available for our staff and residents. Your contributions will directly support our mission to provide exceptional care for older adults.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload deliveries of food, beverages, and kitchen supplies, verifying accuracy against invoices.
• Stock and rotate inventory in refrigerators, freezers, dry storage, and other designated areas following the "first in, first out" (FIFO) method.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock or supply needs to the dietary supervisor or manager.
• Label and date all food items upon receipt and ensure proper storage according to food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, including dry goods, refrigeration units, and supply closets.
• Dispose of expired or spoiled items in accordance with safety guidelines and document as required.
• Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed, such as portioning snacks or beverages.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and glove use.
• Support dietary staff by retrieving ingredients or supplies during meal service times.
• Assist with restocking kitchen workstations and resident dining areas after meals.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly (e.g., boxes of supplies, cases of food).
• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift, including moving between storage areas and the kitchen.
• Reaching, bending, stooping, and kneeling to retrieve or store items on shelves, carts, and in coolers/freezers.
• Manual dexterity for handling small items, opening packaging, labeling, and organizing supplies.
• Tolerating temperature variations, such as working in refrigerated or freezer environments for short periods.
• Good vision and hearing to read labels, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to safely operate basic equipment or tools such as carts, pallet jacks, or step stools.
