Assistant Director of Life Enrichment

Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, is searching for a full-time Assistant Director of Life Enrichment at its retirement campus, The Renaissance, located in Olmsted Township.

The Renaissance is located 3 miles south of Great Northern Mall/480.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who is organized and has prior Life Enrichment experience. Additionally, we are looking for an individual who has the flexibility of interacting with different levels of staff, families, residents, and outside customers. An Activity Director Certification is required.

Candidates must have a demonstrated understanding of applicable industry regulations, an understanding of the aging process and services, and a familiarity with the person-centered care model.

Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

• Design and implement resident programs and activities.
• Develop and implement activity calendar.
• Direct and manage activity assistants, including select, hire, train, counsel and monitor performance and morale.
• Conduct activity assessments and resident interviews, establish care plans, and write progress notes as required. Oversee the departmental schedule to ensure completion of these tasks.
• Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences.
• Plan and meet with residents and their families to promote resident participation, enjoyment, and enrichment.
• Assure constant and effective resident communications.
• Provide transportation for resident field trips. Arrange individual transportation when needed.
• Identify resources and purchase supplies; maintain and restock activity related inventory.
