SUMMARY: Provide quality nursing services to meet resident needs by performing essential duties including assessments, care plans, medication administration, and staff training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Conduct daily rounds to monitor residents and ensure care compliance.
- Assess new admissions and changes in residents’ conditions.
- Develop and monitor care plans, ensuring the highest level of resident well-being.
- Communicate updates on care matters to residents, families, and healthcare providers.
- Train and develop staff, providing orientation and ongoing support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, incidents, and assessments.
- Report relevant information to the Director of Nursing and assist with survey processes.
- Ensure safety by monitoring compliance with safety protocols and responding to emergencies.
- Participate in quality assurance and policy development.
- Stay current with skills and knowledge through continuing education.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises nursing staff, including hiring, training, performance appraisals, and problem resolution.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of nursing program with at least one year of related experience preferred.
- Meets state and federal nursing requirements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state.
